Applications of Valves

A valve is a device that regulates the flow of a fluid (gases, liquids, fluidized solids, or slurries) by opening, closing, or partially obstructing various passageways.Valves are used in a variety of contexts, including industrial, military, commercial, residential, and transport.Generally speaking,valves have the following applications:

Connect or cut off the materials in the pipeline. Such as gate valve,butterfly valve,ball valve,cock valve, diaphragm valve,globe valve, stop valve.

Regulate and control rate and pressure of the flow medium in the pipeline.Such as throttle valve, safety valve,pressure reducing valve,regulating valve.

Change the flowing direction of the fluid medium in the pipeline. Such as distributing valve,three-way cock valve,four-way ball valve. 　

Prevent reversal flow of material in pipeline.Such as check valve of different structures,bottom valve,foot valve.

Separate medium.such as different structural steam trap valve and air trap valve.

Indicate and adjust the height of the liquid level.Such as liquid level indicator and liquid level controller.　

Other special applications.Such as temperature control valve and over current urgent stop valve. 　

In the above, the number of valves used to connect and stop the flow of liquid takes up about 80% of all the valves used in daily life.
