Ball mill liner is used to protect the cylinder from being impacted and worn directly by the grinding body and materials. Using different forms of liners to adjust the grinding body motion to enhance the shattering of the grinding body on materials. It helps to improve the efficiency of the mill grinding, increase production, and reduce the the consumption of metal machinery parts.
The materials of the ball mill liners are gradually replaced by medium alloy steel liners in domestic. With the continuous application of the medium alloy steel liners, they have gradually replaced the manganese steel and other liners and become the mainstream of the market development.
In addition to protecting the body, cylinder liner also has an impact on grinding body motion. In order to adapt to various working status (grinding or fine grinding) requirements, the shapes and the materials of the liners are also different. When given priority to crushing, the liner should have stronger ability to the grinding body and should have good impact resistance at the same time. When given priority to fine grinding, liner is relatively small, the ability to the grinding body is weak, and impact is smaller. While the stronger grinding effect is required, the liner should have good wear resistance.
