Precision casting is pleased to announce that won 1st place in the International Magnesium Association (IMA) in Design - Cast Products - Commercial Category. The award was presented at the IMA Annual World Magnesium Conference Prague, Czech Republic May 2011.Precision casting's entry, a cast magnesium used in a new model of vacuum lightweight, vertical produced by Oreck, demonstrated both a creative use of magnesium and innovative manufacturing technology.The thin wall casting was designed to protect critical components of the cleaner. Head in other Oreck upright models were made from four separate ABS Polycarbonate (PC / ABS) plastic parts.
