Stainless Steel Precision Casting CF8M
The corrosion resistance of stainless steel decreases with the increase of carbon content , so most stainless steel are of low carbon , the maximum not more than 1.2%, and some steel Wc (carbon) or even below 0.03% (as 00Cr12 ). The main alloying elements in Stainless steel is Cr (chromium), and only when the Cr content reaches a certain value,the corrosion resistance of steel functions. Therefore, stainless steel generally have Cr (chromium) content of at least 10.5%. Stainless steel also contains Ni, Ti, Mn, N, Nb, Mo, Si, Cu and other elements.
